About Me
I’m Melanie.
I’ve spent over a decade working in the nonprofit healthcare world, and I’ve seen how people get stuck in so many different ways. I’ve worked behind the scenes in hospitals, clinics, and small organizations, as well as directly with clients in inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and outpatient settings.
Those experiences shaped how I understand people, not just what they’re going through, but how hard they’re already trying to make things better.
My approach.
Now, I get to do the work I really love. I work with people who feel stuck—whether that’s anxiety, OCD, or a life transition that hasn’t gone the way you expected—and help them actually move forward.
My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches are practical and effective, and I use them intentionally to help create real, lasting change.
I don’t focus on just understanding the problem. I focus on helping you step out of the patterns that are keeping you there.
What its Like to Work with Me
Practical Change
Insight is important, but it’s not the end goal. Whether we’re working together in therapy or consulting, I focus on helping you move out of what’s keeping you stuck and into real, meaningful change that shows up in your day-to-day life.
Honesty
I’ll be direct with you—kindly, but honestly. You deserve clarity, not confusion, and support that is both compassionate and real. That’s often where the most meaningful progress happens.
Respect for Your Time
Your time matters. I approach our work with focus and intention, so sessions and consultations are structured, purposeful, and actually move things forward. This isn’t about spinning in circles—it’s about using our time in a way that’s effective and worthwhile.
Consulting
I work with practices and organizations that feel stuck behind the scenes—whether that’s unclear systems, inefficient workflows, or growth that’s outpacing structure.
My background in nonprofit healthcare and mental health settings has given me experience across inpatient, community-based, and outpatient systems. I bring that perspective into consulting, helping you build processes that are clear, sustainable, and actually work in day-to-day operations.
